Terms & Conditions
Personal requirements
- All drivers must possess a valid and full driving licence held for at least for one year.
- All drivers are required to present a valid identification document.
- Minimum age requirement is 21 years of age.
Car rental charges include:
- VAT
- Unlimited mileage
- Third Party Liability Insurance ( TPL )
- Theft Protection ( T.P.)
- Collision & Damage Waiver ( CDW )
- 24 hours Breakdown recovery
- Road fund licence
Delivery / collecting of the vehicle
At any location in Sofia, including Sofia airport:
- Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. - Free
- National holidays, Weekends and Mondays through Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. - €10
Delivery / collecting of the vehicle in another city is subject to an additional agreement. Please call us for more information !
Fuel
Fuel is not included in the price.
All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel. If upon return the vehicle is without full petrol tank the difference is paid by the renter.

Rent a car with GPS navigation system for Bulgaria for only €3 per day. Garmin Nuvi navigates with ease, touch screen display, programmed in multiple languages, routes to points of interest, including hotels, restaurants, petrol stations, airports, ATMs and more.

- Child seat
- Snow chains
Additional driver
If an additional person will drive the rented car, SofiaRent must be informed accordingly at the start of the rental. A charge of 2 E per day applies to an extra driver, but not more than 30 euros for the whole rental period. Only the authorised drivers can drive the vehicle.
Personal driver
Personal driver for the duration of the lease of the vehicle is €20 per day. The hired driver is available 8 working hours from 09:00 till 18:00. Every exctra hours costs 10 E. For travelling outside Sofia - €20 per day plus driver's daily expenses must be covered by the renter.
Cross border policy
The company does allow its vehicles to be driven abroad. Please call for more information !
Delayed Return of the Vehicle
All rentals are calculated on a 24 hour basis from time of pick up. To avoid additional charges you must return the vehicle on the agreed return date and time. Failure to return vehicle on time will result in additional charges.
In case the return of the vehicle is delayed up to one hour you will be charged €10 additionally. Delays or use of over one extra hour will be charged as one additional full day rental.
Methods of payment
Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, VISA and Mastercard credit cards. All prices are quoted in euros.
Mechanical difficulties or accidents
- In the event of any mechanical problems or accidents involving the rented vehicle, the client has to report on the EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBER written on the contract.
- Local police should be also notified in the case of accidents and a signed police report should be obtained.
Deposit
A deposit is required for all rentals. The deposit varies depending on the type of the vehicle.
The full amount of the deposit, or a portion of it, could be withheld under the following circumstances:
- Damages of the suspension mechanisms of the vehicle.
- Any damages of all tyres, tools, audio equipment and other accessories.
- Considerable damages to the vehicle as a result of an accident.
- Any damages to the vehicle as a result of an accident without a protocol from the police.
- If special cleaning and/or repair work are required for whatever reason.
- At the time of return of the vehicle the lessee owes the lessor money in accordance with the contract and the terms of lease.
PLEASE NOTE
Damage insurance is not valid in the following cases:
- The car is driven after alcohol or drugs.
- In case of accident, no police report for insurance occurrence is presented upon returning the car.
- The renter has allowed another person not authorized in the contract or not having a driver's license to drive the car.
- The car tyres are damaged not as a result of fire or car accident.
- The renter deliberately damages the car or its accessories.
Theft insurance is not valid in the following cases:
- The car is left unlocked.
- The car is left and the alarm is not switched on.
- The car is left with the car documents inside.
In all of the above cases, the lessee bears the responsibility for the incurred damages.
